The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated both outfielder George Springer and reliever Jay Jackson from the paternity list, the club announced Monday.
In a corresponding move, the Blue Jays optioned Ernie Clement and Bowden Francis to triple-A Buffalo.
The move was an expected one, but does mean that both Jackson and call-up Nathan Lukes will be sticking with the big club for the time being.
Lukes hit a game-winning RBI double in the Blue Jays' extra-innings win on Sunday.
Springer missed the team's final two games before the All-Star break. The four-time All-Star is slashing .269/.330/.422 with 13 home runs for the Blue Jays this season.
The Blue Jays not named to the All-Star game will enjoy a few days off before returning to action on Friday when the Arizona Diamondbacks come to town.
